Our story
Our founder Adrian Hogarth has always loved cars. Born and bred in Yorkshire, he grew up with posters of rally cars on his wall. He graduated in Photography from the University of Leeds leading to a career in motorsports photography for 14 years.
Shifting gear, Adrian moved into car sales and later management. Brands included Ford, Alfa Romeo and Vauxhall. Adrian then worked across the country with prestige brands including BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin and Rolls-Royce. This included four years at a bespoke modifier of the Land Rover range.
Adrian then decided to take a different route. Drawing on his experience in the prestige market, he decided to offer another level of service, as testified to on our Trustpilot page.

“I’m a self-confessed petrolhead. I’ve always loved cars. It’s why I risked life and limb shooting car rallies and motorsports.
However, I’ve always hated the hoops that the showroom environment forces you to jump through. During my time in car sales, I saw how frustrated clients could be with the process. I decided there must be a better way.
In 2017, I set up SPC Cars to be a shortcut to that magical moment of starting the engine and accelerating away. I provide impartial, straight-talking advice about cars, and take the stress away from the customer.”
